American Doubles... the Trials... the Triumphs... the Domination-This Week In American Doubles-June 10th

THIS WEEK IN AMERICAN DOUBLES
June 10, 2008

American Doubles continued to shine in the last week as Bob Bryan -- the last American standing at the French Open -- took the Mixed Doubles title there with Victoria Azarenka. On the USTA Pro Circuit Men's Pro Circuit, it was an all-American final at the $50K Yuba City Challenger when Nicholas Monroe and Michael Yani took the trophy over Jan Michael Gambill and Scott Oudsema. The American women also fared well at the Kaelin/Diadora USTA Women's $10K in Hilton Head Island, with Jennifer Elie and Nadja Gilchrest winning the top prize in the doubles draw there.

This week author Marcia Frost will be on hand at the 2008 Recoating West Inc. USTA Men's $15,000 Professional Tennis Tournament in Loomis, California, area where many players from American Doubles… the Trials… the Triumphs… the Domination will be showing off their skills including Scott Oudsema, Nikitas Kryvonos, Lester Cook, Ryler DeHeart, Nate Schnugg, Greg Ouelette, Dennis Nevolo and Phillip Simmonds. Other American doubles players who will be at that event include recent NCAA doubles champion Kaes Van't Hof and the winner of last year's USTA National Championship at Kalamazoo, Michael McClune, as well as Ricky Flach, son of doubles great Ken Flach (who is also in the book), and former UCLA standout Chris Lam.
