The American Doubles… book was on the road this week, first stopping at the World TeamTennis match between the NY Sportimes and the Washington Kastles.  The Sportimes took that match on their way to the top position in the East.  Stopping by the American Doubles… booth was the Sportimes Brian Wilson, a former NCAA Doubles Champion (University of Illinois, 2003) who is featured in the book.  The Washington Kastles’ Justin Gimelstob, a contributor to American Doubles…,  also stopped by to say hello and take a look at the finished product.

From WTT it was on to Newport Rhode Island where too of the United States’ finest doubles players teamed up to take the trophy at the Campbells Hall of Fame Championships.  It was the first ATP title for John Isner and Mardy Fish, but I’m sure we’ll see more of this pairing to come.

Other American doubles players making their mark this week were Carly Gullickson, who won The Mecco Cup with Aussie Nicole Kriz, and Marcus Fugate,  who took the Peoria Futures event with Tigran Martirosyan over fellow U.S. players Robbye Poole & Rylan Rizza.
